I love birthdays, they bring with them excitement, love, presents and if you are very lucky, cake. I use birthdays as an I-love-you, using the opportunity to tell people I care for them, with thoughtful present or with bountiful sweet goodness. Tuesday is a dear friends birthday and I baked these brownies, Nigella Lawson's snow flecked (brownies with white chocolate chips) brownies from 'Feast' for her.
Coincidentally, brownie babe of the month approaches, so I decided to use this as my entry.
These brownies are good, very good, sinful and fudgy, drowning as they are in eggs, chocolate and butter. They sit nestled on the table tonight, cheek by jowl with truffles, sprinkled with rainbow 100's and 1000's. Tomorrow night, we will sing happy birthday and then eat the brownies, and they will be no more.
Such is life, such is feasting, such is chocolatey goodness.
